Before we had computers, gas was measured manually with formulas, and this arguably required a much sounder understanding of the industry. Unlike our competitors, each and every member of our team possesses this knowledge. Southwest Gas Measurement has never lost a measurement audit in more than 35 years, and we accomplish this with charts, electronic flow meters, and/or EGMs. Southwest Gas Measurement was the first measurement company to get the computer in the electronic integrator to correspond with a compatable IBM computer and communicate together. We were the first to make history in communication with the two computers.
We work with gaugers and pumpers to spot potential errors long before results are published and distributed. Gas charts and electronic flow meters—powered by solar energy and/or battery—measure the natural gas which comes out of the ground from wells drilled. To-the-second reports and graphs are sent to the well owner and railroad commission to clarify how much the well is producing. This information can be shown by the minute /or hourly to daily, which ever the customer perfers on their gas statement. Then at the end of each gas statement is a graph of the gas, pressure, temperture and volume flow. |
